(d) Do you find any influence of another country on the literature of ancient Rome ? Discuss. | ||

2 | Discuss the notion of honour in the Iliad. Give examples from the text. | |
3 | Examine the moment of anagnorsis in Oedipus Rex. Give illustrations/examples to substantiate your answer. | |
4 | Who reports the conditions of Thebes ? What do you they have to say about the condition in the city ? Illustrate your answer with examples from the text. | |
5 | Critically analyse Pot of Gold’s assessment of the society of its time. Give examples. | |
6 | Examine the significance of the slaves in Pot of Gold. | |
7 | ‘Strobilus desires freedom.’ Would you agree ? Is this desire for freedom fulfilled ? Give reasons for your answer. | |
