The Minimum Requirements to Apply for Kerala High Court Assistant

Before applying for the reported High Court Assistant vacancies, ensure you have the following qualifications.

  1. Age Limit To Apply for High Court Assistant

    The age limit for the general category is 18 to 36. The upper age limit for the OBC candidates is 39. The age limit to apply for the High Court Assistant post for SC/ST candidates is 18 to 41.

The basic pay scale of a High Court Assistant in Kerala is 39300 – 83000 Indian Rupees per month. He will additionally receive HRA, DA, TA, and medical allowances.

Advantages of Those Having LLB Degree

Many students in our institute asked whether there are any advantages for those having an LLB degree. Yes, having an LLB will help you in getting a faster promotion.

To get a promotion after the Sectional Officer post, everyone without an LLB has to pass a judicial examination. High Court Sectional Officers with LLB do not need to pass this examination for future promotions.

How To Prepare For Kerala High Court Assistant Examination?

Kerala High Court Assistant Selection Process

It has two stages:

  1. Written Examination (Objective + Descriptive)

    The High Court Assistant written examination has two papers.

    1. Objective Type Question Paper

      The objective test paper has a hundred questions and has 75 minutes. Each correct answer will award one mark, and a wrong answer will cost you 0.25 marks.

    2. High Court Assistant Descriptive Test Paper

      Soon after completing the objective question paper, the descriptive test begins. You will get 60 minutes to finish the descriptive exam worth 60 marks.

  2. Interview

    The selection committee will call every candidate who scored 40% on the objective paper for an Interview. The total mark of the Interview is ten marks.

They prepare the final rank list of the Assistants in the Kerala High Court by counting the total marks obtained in the written test and Interview.
