MCD Primary and Nursery School Teacher Recruitment by DSSSB

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced the latest Primary School and Nursery Teacher Recruitment to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi-run schools.

To become a permanent primary school teacher in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi-run schools, you should apply through DSSSB. DSSSB appoints candidates with the following educational qualifications.

1. Senior Secondary (10+2) or Intermediate or its equivalent from a recognized board /institution.

2. Two year’s Diploma / Certificate Course / in Elementary Teacher Education Course/Junior Basic Training or equivalent or bachelor of elementary education from a recognized institution.

3. Must have passed Hindi as a subject at Secondary level.

4. Must have passed English as a subject at secondary or senior secondary level.

5. Candidates must have qualified CTET.

DSSSB invites candidates with the following essential qualifications to apply for Assistant Teacher (Nursery) in schools run by Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCD).

1. Senior Secondary School (Class Twelve) certificate or Intermediate or its equivalent with at least 45% marks from a recognized Board/University

2. Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme of a duration of not less than two years or B. Ed.(Nursery) from a recognized institute

3. Must have passed Hindi at secondary level.

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board conducts a single Tier examination for appointing Primary School Teachers in Schools under the Delhi Municipal Corporation.

A total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions are there. Each question carries one mark, but you will lose 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. You will get a total of 2 hours to complete the examination.

The age limit for MCD Teachers (Primary and Nursery) is 30 years for general category candidates. Candidates belonging to OBC, SC/ST, students with Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Service Men have upper age relaxation.

We must say that while considering the structure of the exam application fee, the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board is not following the principles of gender equality.

If you belong to the general category of male candidates, you must pay 100 Indian Rupees as the application fee.

Those belonging to Women candidates and candidates belonging to the Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Physically Handicapped & Ex-serviceman category do not need to pay the Application fee.
